Meet Mike Rumley:My name is Mike Rumley and I have been married to my wonderful wife Jessica for over 13 years and we have two incredible children; Erin (8) and Isaac (6). Erin is in Second Grade and Isaac is in First Grade. God could not have given me a better family and I thank him for them daily!
I grew up in Gallatin, TN (Nashville area) and have moved several places around the country over the last 18 years (and even out of the country while serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1990 to 1994) and one thing I know for sure is that the Middle Tennessee area is by far the best place to live & raise children in America! My wife & two children deserve Nashville! The climate is wonderful with four very mild seasons, the rolling hills are breathtaking in every season, the cost of living is unbelievably low (for a major city) and you will not find nicer people anywhere in America. My Business Plan: My objective is to educate my clients so they may know the facts of the mortgage industry so they will never be taken advantage of. I will tell you the truth about what most mortgage brokers never want you to know! I will give you the tools you need to succeed. I focus not on products and profit, but on my customer's needs and long term goals. I realize that if I put service and customer's needs first, the rest will take care of itself! I know that I am not perfect and mistakes happen (and rates change) from time to time, but the one thing I do promise you is to always tell you the truth in every situation and give you a fair and honest transaction every time you choose to do business with me! Your long term loyalty as a customer is more important to me that any one loan or fee. If you are not happy with ANY part of your transaction, I will make it right or you will not pay me one dime! I want you as part of my company's family, and will never put a dollar over our friendship & relationship! My system is set up to operate mostly by referral which keeps my advertising and overhead expense low and I pass those savings directly back to you my customers. I am a "low fee / high volume" broker that depends on referrals for the majority of my business. The benefit to my customers is I have to earn your trust which ensures I must give you great service to be worthy of a repeat client or referral! It keeps me honest and working hard to keep you coming back for more and sending your friends and family members to get the same great service! It is a circle of benefits that feed off GREAT SERVICE, LOW RATES, LOW FEES, COMPLETE DISCLOSURE & LOYALTY! It has been wildly successful and vital towards my goal of becoming one of the greatest mortgage advisors anywhere in the country! I began my mortgage career: in November of 1996 so I have an extensive background in the Mortgage industry. I worked for a few other companies but never liked the way the majority of the industry always seems to put loan profit over client benefit. I realized the better way to operate is to ALWAYS put my client’s interest first, explain upfront what I have to make to stay in business, and then let THEM control their OWN loan. This takes ALL the mystery out of the process and allows for a true sense of peace in the process! Also, I know that if you treat each and every client as you would like to be treated, they will return as repeat clients as well as send EVERYONE they know to me as a referral. This creates smaller profits per loan, but larger volume through referrals which creates a win-win for everyone and that is the only way I want to do business. In almost every company seen to date, they try to squeeze every penny out of every deal they close and then hope for a referral if the customer is not too disgusted. I want to truly help my clients, be a blessing to them and then count on referrals as the basis to grow my business. That way I do not have to spend thousands of dollars finding new business; and can then give the savings back to my current clients and referrals through much lower costs to every client I service. I realize that although I want to grow bigger and bigger; you first have to get better. Bigger is not always better; and better is not always bigger! I must grow within my markets and as the markets allow. I don't want to grow too fast as to put myself in a position to have to charge more to my clients to survive because I outgrew my capital. I vow to grow slow and steady and NEVER lower my commitment to low pricing and fair lending to EVERY CLIENT! I have a passion for excellence and as a part of my commitment to excellence, I want to be... Known by my clients: as the best source to provide them the opportunity to own a home, expand their current home or obtain the cash needed from their home to fund life's major events. I want them to rave about my service to their friends and family! I want my clients to be passionate about sharing their "Mike Rumley Experience" with everyone they know. Their referrals as well as their repeat business are the greatest compliments I can receive. My clients are the central focus of all that I do; they are the reason I am here and I want to be their lender for life. My clients know without a shadow of a doubt that I care, because I ask them about their lives, their dreams, their plans and their future needs. I do not want to put them in the loan that is the easiest or the most profitable for me, but the loan that best suites their current and future needs and dreams. They know I will NEVER cross that line between profit and integrity. My promise to you is that your family will always come first! I want to build long-term relationships with my customers and they will know me as a financial advisor & partner as opposed to just a Mortgage Broker. I have four principles I consider to ensure fair and responsible lending in all cases:
Known by the community: as a person that always places high a priority on Family and Values! I want to promote family and encourage Moms and Dads to take an active role in the home life. I will do this by being involved in and supporting local organizations that lend themselves to family involvement. Companies such as Chick-fil-a, whose corporate mission statement I believe in and agree with completely! It says: "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us, and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-a." That is such a powerful mission statement and one that Chick-fil-a lives out everyday from children's books and education toys in their kids meals, to closing on Sundays! They know the most important things in life have nothing to do with money and that is exactly my heart and goal and those are the kind of people I want to be like and be associated with! I know to be the best, I have to model the best and strive to be the best! Also, I want to be a person that gives back to my local community out of the fruits of my labor. The local families, churches and businesses are the backbone of our community. I strive to contribute both through time contributions, monetary contributions, and service contributions as often as possible.
