My six basic principles needed to become successful in all areas of life from your business life to your personal life. They are critical if you are to become all you are capable of becoming! You have to: 1) Become A Dreamer ~ Again! 2) Have A Crusade In Life! 3) Dream Big ~ But Keep It Simple! 4) Always Be Positive! 5) Treat People Good!!! and 6) Never Give Up! 1) Become a Dreamer! If you have got the desire, you can be anything you want to be in America today! Desire is the secret to winning, and dreaming is the fuel that fires desire! If you don't think and dream about what you want out of life, you will never achieve all you are capable of. Life doesn't give you what you would love to have; life gives you what you will accept! One important aspect here is to always associate with the kind of people that you want to be like! If you want to be an A student in school, surround yourself with other A students. If you want to be a good athlete, surround yourself with other good athletes, if you want to be an honest person, surround yourself with other honest people! If you want to be a strong Christian, surround yourself with other strong Christians! They will keep you accountable and on track with your goals and you can do the same for them. Always surround yourself with the people you want to be like! 2) Have a Crusade in Life! A crusade is a purpose in life that is bigger than you are! A crusade motivates people to reach higher and farther than they thought possible because they have a cause thats bigger than their immediate wants and needs. A crusade will give you that little extra edge in life when most people would just want to give up. A crusade will change a J.O.B. into a lifelong career aimed at changing people's lives and helping others realize their dreams. Always involve yourself with something bigger than you are, because that's where God is! 3) Dream Big ~ but keep it simple! If you are going to dream ~ Dream Big! People these days are measured by the size of their dreams! No one ever accomplishes more than he sets out to accomplish! So you should always visualize a big future. Never let your own personal limitations tell you what is possible. If you can dream it, you can do it ~ ALWAYS! Sometimes we fail to achieve certain goals simply because we do not set our goals high enough. Usually a person can accomplish the things that he sets his mind to accomplish! There is an old saying "Even a turtle does not get ahead unless he sticks his neck out" DREAM BIG BECAUSE WE SERVE A BIG GOD! Wherever God guides, he provides!
4) Always be Positive! The three rules necessary to succeed in life are: 1) Always be positive! 2) Always be positive! 3) Always be positive! Whether you think you can or you think you can't ~ you're right! Never let anyone tell you that something you want is not possible. As the old saying goes; "Life is like a giant copy machine that just reproduces our thoughts into physical form". If you think happy; you will be happy! If you think prosperous; you will be prosperous! If you think positive; you will be positive! 90% of people succeed simply because they have a good attitude and 10% succeed because they have some special ability or talents that the rest do not have. 5) Treat People Good! NEVER substitute profit in place of integrity! Never allow a customer to close a loan that is not of real benefit to their family and future goals. Never sacrifice your reputation regardless of how it affects your bottom line! Love your people and customers more than anything else and more importantly; make sure they know it! 6) Never give up!!!
You may have to try 1000 times before you succeed at something, but if you only try 999 times, you lose! Failure is nothing but a chance to learn a lesson and as long as you learn that lesson it is not failure, it is an education. Only those who never try never fail and in order to succeed, you must not be afraid to fail. We all remember that is took Thomas Edison over 10,000 attempts to create the light bulb, but all we remember is that he created the light bulb, not how many times he failed at it. Just imagine how our lives would be different today if he had given up after 9,999 attempts and listened to all of the people who told him that it was not possible! The only sure way to fend off criticism is to do nothing and be nothing. Those who do things inevitably stir up criticism! Just stay true to yourself, your faith, your goals and your mission in life!
I am committed to excellence in all areas of mortgage lending and customer service. I know that I am only as good as my last customer encounter and must never let my guard down if I want to ensure I remain the best alternative to turn to in the mortgage lending business. I believe that one person with commitment, persistence, and endurance will accomplish more than a thousand people with interest alone. The more diligently I work at getting better, the harder it will be to ever quit trying! Persistence and excellence are habits and require a lot of dedication!
